This is the Daniels clan probably somewhere in Ohio before 1913. The date is merely an estimation since Madison Daniels, the family patriarch and Civil War veteran, is still alive and sitting in the center of this photo (with the dot on his nose). Mary Ann (Hill) Daniels his wife is also in the center with the X on her chest. Hopefully soon I will have a better copy of this photo after I develop some pictures I took last year. (Stay tuned) |
The man with the long beard is Madison Daniels. This was taken at the family farm in Porter Ohio (Gallia County). This house no longer stands and was sold out of the family years ago. The other men are his sons and perhaps a grandson. Madison fought for the Union during the Civil War. |
Mary Anne (Hill) Daniels in front of the old farm place at Porter Ohio. Mary and Madison were married October 29, 1865 in Gallia County Ohio. |
Ruth Elizabeth (Schilling) & Clyde Lemont Daniels. Clyde was the son of Madison and Mary Anne. Ruth's parents and family are below. |
This is the Schilling Family. The couple sitting in chairs in the front row are Horace and Paulina (Strouderman) Schilling surrounded by their children. This was taken in Ohio at their family home. Horace and Paulina were married November 9, 1882 in Renoldsburg Ohio. |
*Note: Please see the "Bible Records" page for the ancestry of Madison Daniels and his siblings. |
This is Charles Clyde and Bessie Louise (Pace) Daniels. Charles was the son of Clyde and Ruth (Schilling) Daniels. Charles was another of our hero veterans, serving in mulitple theatres during WWII. |
These are Charles and Bessie's four children, clockwise from top left: Kathy, Janet, Charles Jr., Becky |
